1 a note in haste!......

......as I have just returned from a very long queue at the Post Office. Patience is a virtue - one that I have always aspired to cultivate. We were sending out essential supplies far and wide.

It has been one of those weeks of racing around with too much to do and too little time. The week's highlights however are exhibited below - the lovely garments and knitting/crochet projects that delight us daily. What a clever lot you all are!

There is also a mention below of tomorrow's Tunisian Crochet class for which we still have a couple of spaces.

We wish you all the very best for a weekend of knitting and crochet. Come by and pay us a  visit and do keep sending in photos. We don't always capture what we see and all of them are lovely projects to share with others.

You will hear more from us next week!

Happy Knitting and Crochet

Caroline's 'double knitted' cot blanket in Rowan Pure Wool Superwash DK yarn.  This is Caroline's own pattern she made up after attending a Double Knitting workshop at Oxford Yarn Store. This technique gives a reversible pattern in two tones as can be seen here.

Angela has knitted this beautiful version of the popular Tokyo Shawl using a fabulous palette of autumnal shades of Isager yarns. We have kits made up that include the pattern and yarn for this sublimely soft and wearable wrap. There are SO many shades to choose from - the colour selection is as much fun as the knitting!

More Isager knitting, this time a gorgeous sweater made by Vanessa from the Favourite Knits pattern book. This has been knitted using a combination of shades of Isager Merilin and Silk Mohair yarns.

Rosie has crocheted these cushions using her own handspun Jacob yarn (we have fresh supplies of this yarn now available in store!)

A hat in West Yorkshire Spinners' Croft yarn knitted by Jessie for her husband Felipe.  The pattern is Anker's Hat by PetiteKnit on Ravelry.

A Fair Isle tam knitted by Jackie in two shades of Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift yarn.
