WORKSHOPS IN august 2019

Crochet Amigurumi

Amigurumi is the Japanese word for crochet toy making.  It is lots of fun, hugely popular and addictive but deceptively simple!
This workshop is aimed at 'just passed' beginner ability as amigurumi uses only one of the 3 main crochet stitches. In this workshop you can either use a pattern of your own or there will be a selection to choose from. We will be learning all areas of toy making including increasing, decreasing, shaping and sewing/crocheting your toy together.

Date: Saturday 10th August

Time:  10am to 4pm

Skill Level:  Beginner with a little experience of basic crochet skills (chain, double and treble).  A Learn to Crochet class is an ideal class to take before this class if you cannot crochet or want to refresh the basics.

Price: £55.00

Materals you need:  you will need 100g yarn for the main colour plus up to 50g each of contrast colours for your amigurui.  You will also need toy stuffing, crochet hooks, stitch markers and sewing up needles.  All these materials are available from Oxford Yarn Store at 10% discount to class participants.  A choice of patterns will be supplied but bring your own if you have one.
